What is (Deutsch) German?

In the newest issue of Stern magazine there is an artikel about Germany and how the world is enjoying a World Cup with (our guest and Germans alike) friends - something they obviously (according to Stern magazine) didn't expect! Well the weather has been hotter than in southern Italy and most of the favored nations have advanced to the next win-take-all final stages and expect for a few (the expected Englisch and German hooligans) everything has been very peaceful and (probably) financially successful.
Obviously those who traveled furthest have the money (Japan, Korea don't street brawl anyway) and don't want to spend the World Cup in a Germany cell so they party, party but behave and enjoy! If we're lucky and the weather holds, the beer flows and the German team keeps winning we might just see this soccer party peacefully ending - something to tell the grand children about Tor! Tor! Tor!
Last night was Johannisfeuer (Midsummer night celebration) in
Bamberg and wie sat with three Ukranien grandmothers

and had an ice cream cone at our italien ice cream parlor,

maybe that's a little answer to what is (Deutsch) German!

...and in the moun (Berg) tains!

But that wasn't all on that Sunday. After a ride through the Fränkischer Schweiz on our trusty Honda NTV 650 (info for Bike freaks) we gathered our courage and left for the Erlangen Bergkirchweih. Naturally we've added few pictures to give you an idea what it's all about. Eat your heart out Jenny!
